She rode the train from D.C. to spend the day with us. Such a treat! We started off with a short tour of Independence Hall (which is being cleaned up and ruins the “money picture” of the city) and then Congress Hall. We took some pictures in the courtyard area and then went to see the Liberty Bell.
After the Liberty Bell we sat in a park and enjoyed some Philly cheese-steaks! Jaxon had to take part in the fun as well (we promise we did not let him eat the foil) .
After lunch we went to the US Mint and then spent some time just walking around the city.
Then we went to the Rodin Museum to see some sculptures and then spent some time just driving around. We drove over to New Jersey and Mark got some pictures of the USS New Jersey Battleship.
We headed back to Philadelphia for dinner but it was impossible to find a parking spot. We seriously drove around for 20 or 30 minutes. Mark dropped Katie and I off and we ordered a pizza and then he was able to find a spot to park and came and met us. The pizza was really good! Jaxon hung out in the seat while we ate.
We made it out in time to get Katie back for her train, which ended up being late anyway.
Katie, thanks so much for taking the day to come hang out with us. Jaxon loved it!
This is going to be the most well-traveled baby we know!
