They told me that he couldn't eat 2 hours before. When we went into the room, Jaxon was getting a little irritable. He was hungry and tired so they gave me a bottle of sugar water. He gladly drank the whole thing quickly but it did not hold him over for very long. If you held or even seen my child, you know he does not stop moving. And this was no exception. The lady doing the sonogram needed Jaxon to turn on his side but he did not want anything to do with that so I had to nurse him in a very awkward position. It was rather difficult but it worked:). He was still enough for her to get the pictures she needed.
She said that our pediatrictian will get the results within 24 hours so we should hear back soon. We really have not been worried about the whole thing. We are very aware that we could be dealing with something much more major. If they do see something, then we will do what we can to take care of it. If not, Praise God!
While we were in the waiting room a little girl (probably 3 or 4 years old) was wheeled in the room and she clearly had been through some chemo and some rough times. She did not want to be there and kept crying to her dad to take her home. Tears just filled my eyes. It made me very sad that she and so many other kids go through these rough times. It also made me thankful for Jaxon and that he is healthy.
it's a huge comfort to know that GOD knows jaxon inside and out...and that HE is in control.
