Blessing of the week! WD-40

WD-40? Really? A blessing?

Fair reaction; however, that magical lubricant is currently allowing our house to be heated.

Last year our heater would not start after an annual maintenance check (tip to the wise, check that the heater works before someone starts taking it apart if it has not been started for the season). After the technicians (yes, we had multiple heater technicians come out to the house), could not figure out the problem after 10 hours of time spent in the attic (less 10 seconds of breaking our phone nook - really it was a comedy of errors with the heater technicians trying to fix this problems), hundreds of dollars of repairs, and multiple nights without a heater (under the covers not such a bad thing, getting out of the covers in the morning or getting out of a shower - really bad time not to have a heater), Mark did some research on the internet and identified that perhaps a small, plastic part was simply "sticking" in an "on" position, when it needed to transition from "on" to "off" position to allow the heater to function properly. Apply WD-40 generously and kept the heater working beautifully through the 2009 season only to give out this past weekend. Fear not, even with the previous generous application of WD-40 in winter of 2009, there is still plenty left for the 2010 season.

What wonders a little WD-40 can do to prevent the tempature from dipping into the lower 40's inside the house.

And that is a blessing indeed!
