when jaxon leaves home...

Jaxon gets to play while we work!

A couple of weeks ago Jaxon spent the week in Abilene with husbands's parents, aka: Mini and Zu! (Aunt Julie also spent a lot of time with them) I raided Mini's pictures and it looked as though Jaxon had a blast! We missed him like crazy, but he was having so much fun. Here's the proof!

Husband and I spent the week doing many different things. We decided to wreck the house!

Of course we didn't want to, but we had lots of different projects that we were determined to finish. We painted a big boy bed for Jaxon (that post to come soon). Husband and his brother had a set of bunk beds growing up and we ended up with them so we are using one for Jaxon's big boy bed. And they have rails!! We decided to give them a little update which was harder than expected due to the temperatures being 100+. We built some bookshelves for the nursery, we cleaned out Jaxon's toys and got things ready to move his room around. We did some work in the bathroom and added some toe-board to baseboards in several different rooms. We also celebrated our anniversary (post to come soon)!

All in all, it was a good week for everyone. We were thankful to have a little time to get some projects completed, but were SO excited for our little man to come home!!
