Since Mark and I got married, Memorial Day weekend has been busy for us and it seems as each year goes by, something else occurs on this "memorial" weekend.
Our anniversary always falls on this weekend-May 28th to be exact.
This past weekend proved to be no less busy. Almost 5 years ago, we moved into a wonderful neighborhood outside of downtown. We love the friendly neighbors and the fact that our house is unique. It is small and fits us perfectly for what we need. It helps keep our priorities straight in that we don't have room to bring in a bunch of stuff. And something helps us clear it out each year

We don't have to advertise or anything, just set out our stuff. And the people always come. This year we had very few things to set out, but one big thing. The bed that we had been using in our guest room. And we sold it!!! Thank goodness, because we were not bringing it back inside. So Friday and Saturday Jaxon and I spent the 1st half of the day outside selling. I only had 2 boxes to take to Salvation Army. The rest...gone!!!
Saturday night was spent with some extended family at my sweet cousin's graduation party. It was so fun to see everyone even though it was too short.
So as if this weekend didn't have enough packed into it, a couple of years ago (2 to be exact) we added something else to the mix.

We always said that we would wait 5 years to have children and low and behold, he was born on our 5th anniversary. So Sunday was spent getting ready for his birthday party. Jaxon had a blast and although there were stressful moments, it was lots of fun!
