There and Back Again - A Jaxon's Tale

While Tara was gone on part of Saturday, Jaxon and Daddy went on a walk. It was supposed to be just to the end of the street and back, but Jaxon made sure it lasted as long as possible. We started by playing with the fine-motor skills board he got at Christmas.

Jaxon insisted we bring his car along for the walk, but he stayed about 10 feet away from the car.

I had Jaxon get in the car to cross streets and at one street crossing, we got up close with a construction truck. Jaxon loves construction trucks and he is very lucky that there are several around our house these days.

Jaxon did push his car for a little bit, but got distracted very easily.

We met a cat along the way, Jaxon enjoyed meeting the cat. Kept saying "meow" and pointing at it.

 

He got brave and even went to pet the cat several times.

Jaxon was not telling the cat to lay down and the cat was not that well trained, it was just enjoying the warm day.

At the end of the street, we found an even bigger truck.

The cat came along with us to the construction equipment.

The cat left us, but Jaxon did not want it to go, so he followed it as long as he could.

We started for home and Mommy came down the street to meet us. Jaxon was excited and got out of the car quickly...

But really wanted to run across the street to see the construction equipment up close. 

 Jaxon decided to come back to the house, and we finished the walk with Mommy.

 We finished where we started, with the fine motor skills board. It took over an hour, but Jaxon loved every minute of it.
