He's TWO!!!

I can't believe it, but he's TWO!!!

He is busy and full of energy. I really appreciate my friend, Katie, who affirms my thoughts on how busy he is. It makes me feel better:). I know that toddlers are busy, but mine really does have so much energy. A guy we were at a cookout with recently mentioned that his daughter (who is 5 months older than Jaxon) has A LOT of energy, but nothing like the energy that Jaxon displays. And I LOVE IT!!!

At two years you

weigh 25 pounds and are 34.75 inches tall

Jaxon, at TWO years you are up to SO much! I will see if I can touch on a few (very few).

• you say all kinds of words that we cannot keep up with anymore. we had a list going, but it got to difficult to keep up with your words.
• you have moved into a toddler bed and will move into a twin bed in the next couple of months (makes me sad to think how fast you are growing up)
• you sleep anywhere from 10-11.5 hours a night and take 1 afternoon nap that lasts 1.5-3 hours.
• you LOVE construction trucks, cars, buses, trains, animals, airplanes (all those boy things)
• you will definitely let us know if you want something to happen a different way that it is happening at the moment
• you eat just about any type of food as long as you are hungry
• you play in your room by yourself everyday for about 45 minutes--you will talk to yourself and your toys--you also read to yourself
• you love to ride in your stroller and walk to our neighborhood park
• you have become quite the snuggler and ask us to "hold it" meaning "hold you" all the time
• you love to play outside
• You answer "yup" all the time and mommy and daddy try to get you to say "yes" (this may have been daddy's fault)
• you love it when someone comes home, you run to the person who came in, but then run off to continue playing
• You say "cheese" when taking a picture and then immediately want to "see, see!"
• you love to stand on the step stool in the kitchen and help me cook
• you wear 24 month or 2T size clothing
• you recently started singing and ask us to sing "Jesus" (Jesus Loves Me) fairly often
• you talk to daddy and I all the time, but are rather shy when it comes to talking in front of people you are not familiar with
• you call construction workers "friends" 
• you call lots of people "friends"
• you like for us to rock you before we put you down for your nap or for bedtime--you didn't used to like being rocked, so we are soaking it in!

Jaxon, you make life so much fun! We are constantly amazed at all the new things you are learning each day. We are truly blessed to be your parents and look forward to what the future holds for you. God has given you such a joy for life and it makes us appreciate the little things. We love you more than words will ever be able to express and thank God for you daily!
