9 months

Baby boy,

You are a busy little blessing in our lives. We love watching you learn new things and watching your curiosity about the simplest of things. You bring laughter to our lives and smiles to our faces. We are so thankful for you and your contagious energy and joy! You are a true gift from above.

We went to the doctor for your 9 month check up on Thursday. You got one shot and cried for about 5 seconds. Then you were happy and smiling.

You weigh 17 pounds 15 ounces and are 28 inches long.

(they measured you wrong at your 6 month appointment-you were not 28 inches then)

We get lots of comments on how small you are but you are perfect to us. You are just about the same size as your daddy was when he was your age. You are such a busy little boy and burn many calories in a day. Our friend Erin said it the best, "he ate about 50 calories and burned about 500"!

At 9 months:

• you are so much fun
• you love to talk all the time-and very loudly
• you are easy to make giggle
• you love to crawl all over the house
• you like to play in the dishwasher
• you like to stand up at the bathtub and talk to your bath toys
• you are getting better at taking a bottle
• you wear 9-12 month clothing
• you are taking 2 naps a day
• you nurse 4 times a day
• you sleep 11 1/2 to 12 hours at night
• you like to be outside
• you like to crawl under things and inside things
• you took 2 steps in the grass
• you love your momma and like to be with her ALL the time
• but still like to go to the nursery at church
• you are a very curious baby
• you love to chew on anything and everything
• you had your first ear infection and first antibiotic
