How has another month gone by?
You have been up to a lot this month! We went for your 4 month check up Thursday and you weigh
11 pounds 3 ounces and measure 24 inches
Before we get into what you have been up to this past month, I have to talk about your doctor visit. Your pediatrician is wonderful and I have really enjoyed her. She doesn't really like to use charts because she is not a fan of comparing children to one another. She understands children are all different and do all things in their own way. But being the good doctor she is, she pays attention when things don't look normal.
We have been watching your weight because you haven't been gaining as much as we would like. In this past month you only gained 9 ounces. You eat, sleep, and are happy, but you are just not gaining like you should. After talking to her and after she checked you we decided that we should take you to get some lab work done. Everything outside looks perfect, but we want to make sure there is nothing going on that we cannot see. You are also really good at taking bottles so we are going to start giving you a bottle each night with a few added calories in it. She is going to have us come back in a month for a weight check and see if those extra calories are helping.
Onto what you have been up to:
you take 4 naps a day
you sleep 6-9 hours at night
